Parkwide Native Tree Planting
Planting will span the next 2-3 years to restore the park. Our long-term plan for upper and lower Chimborazo includes invasive removal, native plantings, and ornamental additions.
Project Goal
To establish native trees in Chimborazo Park that support local wildlife, expand the urban tree canopy, and provide shaded areas for park visitors.
Over the next 2-3 years and several phases, the planting will continue in the park to restore and enrich the natural environment. We will develop a long-term plan for both upper and lower Chimborazo that includes invasive removal, native plantings, and some ornamental plantings.
